Ready to reignite your spark or take your practice in a new direction? Whether you're seeking a fresh supervisory relationship, deeper reflection, or renewed energy in your work- I offer supervision that's thoughtful, collaborative, and tailored to you. I'm both a qualified clinical supervisor and pastoral supervisor. This enables me to offer safe, ethical and reflective supervision tailored to a range of contexts.
I have been running my own private practice for several years part time as well as working with those affected by life-limiting illnesses at our local hospice.
Originally Person-Centred I have gradually developed the "tools" that I use with clients to enhance my work. However, the quality of the therapeutic relationship with clients and supervisees remains the bedrock of my practice. We may work creatively in some sessions. These can reveal otherwise hidden facets to the therapeutic work and can be highly enlightening. You will always have the choice as to whether or not you wished to explore these elements but I would encourage you to at least give it a try!
I am the sort of supervisor who is able to support you both in your client work, and personally. I have always had a passion for encouraging excellent professional practice and promoting personal growth and development, and I am passionate about doing this within supervision.
I will explore with you what you want to gain from supervision, so that we can work together to enhance your practice. I recognise that we are not professionals in a vacuum and that what is going on in our personal lives has a significant impact on how we respond to our clients. With that in mind, I am happy to support you with personal issues that are impacting your work. Together we would create a space where you can explore yourself and develop you individual style, whilst sharing the joys and challenges of client work. I can offer you my objective reflection and observations when it may be of benefit to you.
Whilst using a reflective approach in supervision sessions, I will encourage your attunement to your internal supervisor to help you work most effectively.
Qualified counsellors and trainee counsellors on placement are all welcome. I am also happy to facilitate group supervision.
BACP and NCPS recommend a "minimum of 1.5 hours supervision every calendar month regardless of the number of contracted hours" for qualified counsellors and a "ratio of 1 hour supervision for 8 hours of counselling, with supervision every 2 weeks" for students. Please be aware, that as I adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework, I would expect supervisees to also be a member of a professional body and to adhere to their ethical framework.

In ministry and pastoral work, you carry a significant burden—the struggles of others, the expectations of the institution, and the demands placed upon your own soul. This confidential and protected space is intentionally built for you to put that weight down safely, allowing you to find both reflection and renewal for the journey ahead. I offer this dedicated, reflective space to anyone carrying significant spiritual, theological, or pastoral responsibilities. This includes Clergy/Ministers, Chaplains, Lay Pastoral Workers, Spiritual Directors, and Faith-Based Counsellors
Pastoral supervision provides a regular, planned, and intentionally bounded time—a necessary rhythm for sustainable professional well-being. Our foundation is built upon a Relationship of Trust, where we cultivate a respectful and confidential connection to gently explore any issues, ethical dilemmas, or the personal costs arising from your demanding work. Crucially, this relationship is purely reflective and formative; it remains separate from any processes of line management or performance appraisal. Our conversations are designed to be Rooted and Informed. We will ground your reflection in the spiritual and theological framework that gives meaning to your calling, while remaining sensitive to your specific cultural and organizational setting. I am also psychologically informed to help you understand relational dynamics, emotional impact, and the complex systems within which you work.
This time is dedicated to fostering deep, sustainable growth in your practice and personal capacity. We focus holistically on three key areas:
● Deepening Self & Presence: We work to cultivate greater self-awareness, enable rich spiritual and theological reflection, and improve the quality of your presence—that is, how fully and authentically you show up in your role.
● Strengthening Practice: We focus on enhancing your role competence, refining your professional skills, and maintaining ethical and professional accountability within your specific context.
● Sustaining Integrity: We pay close attention to the essential areas of boundary management, clarity about your professional identity, and monitoring the personal impact of your work, thereby ensuring your ongoing fitness to practice.
My commitment to supporting you is backed by a breadth of experience that allows me to meet you where you are. This includes clinical work on NHS wards and in the community, professional practice as a Counsellor in hospice and private settings, and lived experience within church ministry. I am a committed member of the Association for Pastoral Supervision and Education (APSE) and am BACP Registered (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). This dual commitment ensures I adhere to the highest standards in this vital relational work, following the ethical framework for professional practice. I look forward to the possibility of walking alongside you in this essential calling.
